My name is Lavinia, I'm a neuro-diverse mama to an amazing neuro-diverse kiddo. I'm also a qualified early childhood educator with over ten years experience working with a range of children, each wonderfully unique in their own way.

 

Sensory Playhouse is a small, family run business for kids with sensory needs. I run the business and my daughter tests out all the toys!

Sensory Playhouse was born when we went online looking for affordable autism resources and found that there weren't a lot of options here in Aotearoa. So now you can turn your home into a sensory wonderland without it costing an arm and a leg (or having to wait months for shipping).

​

I started by making the resources myself, and now (alongside my handmade items) we source sensory products from around the world, as well as from local businesses here in NZ, to give you a decent range of radical resources that with sooth and invigorate your senses.

Everything that we have in our store is designed to meet a need, but while our focus is around the needs of neuro-diverse kids - everyone can use them (either as a tool, or just for fun).
